Cala d'or
Lying on the island's rugged east coast, Cala d'Or is one of many picture-postcard sandy coves. Once a fishing village, the resort enjoys a charming setting with rocky coves and sandy beaches. The resort exudes an air of sophistication and stylish living and is ideal for families. Among the beaches, you'll discover a sandy beach, and in the centre, Cala Gran Beach, the largest on the island, with its fine white sand beach and shallow waters. You will also find a host of friendly shops, bars and restaurants with open-air terraces. Plus there are facilities for horse-riding, watersports and tennis. The night-life is relaxed with a smattering of discos. A tourist train running through the town will take you to neighbouring coves such as Cala Egos. The wonderful Caves of Drach are also within easy reach.
